Liverpool target Kolol Muani as Salah replacement

Liverpool are reportedly interested in France forward Randal Kolo Muani as they look for a replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Salah is expected to leave the club at the end of the season, forcing Liverpool to explore attacking options ahead of the summer transfer window.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Kolo Muani is one of the players being considered.

“Liverpool view the Frenchman as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah,” the report states.

The 27-year-old is currently on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, where he has struggled in the Premier League with just two goal contributions in 25 matches. He has, however, scored four goals in nine Champions League games.

Juventus are also in the race for the forward and have already made contact with his camp.

“The Old Lady tried to re-sign him in the winter transfer window, but Spurs refused to cut short his loan spell,” the report adds.

Kolo Muani previously played for Juventus on loan during the 2024–25 season, scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances.

Liverpool’s interest comes as they plan for changes in attack, especially with Hugo Ekitike ruled out for a long period due to injury. The club is targeting a forward who can play both centrally and on the wing.

“Arne Slot has approved Kolo Muani’s profile during a meeting with the Reds’ management,” one report claimed.

Kolo Muani is known for his pace and movement, but his inconsistent form in England has raised questions over a possible move. PSG are open to selling him, with several European clubs monitoring the situation.
