Peter Okoye changes birthday date from November 18th to 30th

Nigerian singer, Peter Okoye, has announced that he is changing his birthday celebration date, moving it away from November 18 — the date he shares with his twin brother, Paul Okoye.

Peter, popularly known as Mr. P of the former P-Square duo, disclosed this in a post shared via his X handle on April 20.

“I am officially changing my birthday date,” he wrote.

In a more detailed message addressed to his family, friends, and fans, the singer made it clear that November 18 will no longer be recognised as his celebration day.

“Dear Family, Friends, and Fans,

I’m making it official. November 18th is no longer my birthday celebration date. Please note that I will not be accepting any messages or gifts on that day.

My birthday will now be celebrated on November 30th. This is a personal decision, and I truly appreciate your understanding.

Thank you all.🙅🏽‍♂️👍🏾😉”

The decision signals a shift from the long-standing shared birthday tradition with his twin brother, Paul, both born on November 18, 1981.

The move also comes amid his strained relationship with Paul and their elder brother, Jude Okoye, following the split of P-Square several years ago.

While Peter did not go into details about the reason behind the change, the announcement has stirred reactions among fans, with many expressing surprise while others say they will respect his decision going forward.
