Reality TV star Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has said her personality goes far beyond what viewers saw during her time on the Big Brother Naija reality show.
Speaking during a recent interview, the former housemate dismissed public perceptions shaped by the show, insisting that only a fraction of her true self was portrayed on screen.
“That’s what I’m saying. If they don’t create different narratives about me, how would they feed?” she said. “A lot of the mistakes Nigerians make is that the show only gets to show each of the housemates 10 percent of the time.”
She added that it would be wrong for anyone to judge her based on that limited exposure. “Anybody would be very foolish… to actually judge me or draw conclusions about me from 10 percent of my personality. Ten percent can never define me.”

Tacha rose to prominence during the 2019 edition of BBNaija but was disqualified following an altercation with eventual winner Mercy Eke. Despite the setback, she has since built a strong brand as a global influencer and entrepreneur.
Reflecting on her journey, Tacha said the disqualification pushed her to work harder and break new ground, including achieving two Guinness World Records in one day.
She also noted that while people continue to form opinions about her, personal interactions often change those perceptions.
“Why I’m not bothered is because when people see me in person… they will get to know Tacha for who she is, and not what BBNaija painted me to be,” she said.
