Immigration gives updates on paramilitary recruitment exercise

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has provided an update on its ongoing paramilitary recruitment exercise, saying there is no screening scheduled at the moment.

The board’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Juliet Okeh, stated this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Thursday.

Okeh was reacting to information circulating on some media platforms about a screening exercise allegedly fixed for April 15 in Kano.

She described the report as “fake” and advised the public to disregard it, noting that any official update on the recruitment process would be communicated through verified channels.

The PRO also urged applicants to be cautious and avoid falling victim to fraudsters.

NAN reports that the board had earlier indicated that shortlisted candidates for physical screening and document verification would be released between December 1 and 3, 2025.

The exercise was later postponed and a new date has yet to be announced.
