2027: ADC is way forward, not PDP — Atiku camp

The camp of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has declared that the African Democratic Congress remains the most viable political platform for opposition alignment ahead of the 2027 general elections, insisting that the ADC way forward remains the strategic direction for political collaboration.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, Atiku’s Media Adviser, Mazi Paul Ibe, said the party is open to discussions with other opposition parties and individuals who share a common interest in rescuing Nigeria from what he described as failed governance under the All Progressives Congress.

According to him, the ADC has already begun engagement processes aimed at building a strong alliance capable of challenging the ruling party in the next election cycle.

He stressed that the ADC way forward represents a broader platform for unity, strength, and credible political repositioning.

Ibe added that the party is willing to welcome key political figures and stakeholders committed to national stability and better leadership for citizens, noting that Nigerians deserve improved governance and economic direction.

He maintained that regardless of consultations reportedly initiated by a faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, the ADC way forward remains the most realistic path for opposition regrouping ahead of the 2027 polls.

He urged Nigerians and political actors to support progressive efforts that prioritise national interest over personal ambition.
