Cheating is not a dealbreaker — Toyosi Etim on marriage with Daniel Etim

For Toyosi Etim-Effiong, infidelity would not break her marriage to Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong.

Speaking on a podcast with media personality Toke Makinwa, Toyosi shared her thoughts on love, marriage, and spirituality in the entertainment industry.

“Cheating is not a deal breaker for me. I even created a prayer group, Wives of Entertainers Prayer Group, to pray for our husbands so that Jezebels will not carry them,” she said.

She explained that her stance comes from faith and a belief that marriage is bigger than a single mistake. “If my husband cheats, it’s not a deal breaker for me. I believe that people are human, and we are going to face temptations,” she added.

Toyosi also emphasized understanding and resilience in relationships. “What if he’s going through something I don’t know? I will not leave my marriage just because of that,” she said, urging couples to look beyond infidelity to the underlying struggles.

She clarified that her perspective is not an endorsement of cheating, but a reflection of forgiveness and commitment in marriage.

Toyosi and Daniel, who married in 2017, have faced occasional public scrutiny due to Daniel’s romantic roles in Nollywood films, but they continue to share insights about their faith and marriage openly.
