FIFA has unveiled the 2025 The Best Men’s and Women’s 11, celebrating the footballers who shone over the past season. The announcement was made on Tuesday during the awards ceremony in Doha, Qatar.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) dominated the men’s selection, with six players from their Champions League-winning squad included. “These players have shown exceptional quality in Europe and at the Club World Cup,” FIFA said in a statement.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, now at Manchester City, featured alongside defenders Achraf Hakimi, Willian Pacho, Nuno Mendes, and midfielder Vitinha. PSG’s Ousmane Dembélé, who was also named the 2025 FIFA The Best Men’s Player, made the cut alongside Club World Cup Golden Ball winner Cole Palmer and 18-year-old Spanish talent Lamine Yamal.

Goalkeeper: Gianluigi Donnarumma

Defenders: Achraf Hakimi, Willian Pacho, Virgil van Dijk, Nuno Mendes

FIFA noted that the selections were based on performances between 11 August 2024 and 2 August 2025, with votes coming equally from football experts and fans on FIFA.com.

In the women’s category, Spanish and English players dominated, reflecting a year of strong performances at both club and international levels. “The players included have demonstrated outstanding skill and consistency,” FIFA said. Spain and England had contested the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 final, while Arsenal defeated Barcelona in the Women’s Champions League final.

Defenders: Lucy Bronze, Leah Williamson, Irene Paredes, Ona Batlle

FIFA confirmed that the women’s team was chosen using the same assessment period and voting process as the men’s, ensuring a consistent and fair selection of the season’s top performers.
