Niger: Students, staff kidnapped as terrorists invade Catholic school

FULL LIST: Names of 265 pupils, teachers still in captivity after Niger school abduction

The Catholic Diocese of Kontagora in Niger State has published the names of 265 students and teachers from St. Mary’s School, Papiri, who are still being held by abductors.

 

Streetnet reports that Armed men attacked the school on 21 November and kidnapped 315 people, including 303 students and 12 teachers.

 

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State said on Sunday that 50 students had managed to escape.

However, the diocese confirmed on Monday that 239 nursery and primary pupils, 14 secondary school students, and 12 teachers remain in captivity, making a total of 265 people.

 

It also released the full list of those who are yet to regain their freedom.
