The Nigeria Police on Wednesday sealed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat at Wadata Plaza, Abuja, following a violent clash between two factions of the opposition party.
The tension began on Tuesday when the Saminu Turaki-led faction confronted members loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, leading to chaos at the party headquarters. The confrontation resulted in security operatives firing tear gas, with Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed caught in the commotion.
