Businessman and lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, has revealed that ethnic pressure played a major role in his decision to marry popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels.
In a resurfaced old interview that has gone viral, Nwoko explained that his marriage to Regina was largely influenced by his cultural background and family expectations. He also reaffirmed his strong belief in polygamy, saying the actress was fully aware from the onset that he might take more wives in the future.

“Regina knew I could marry more wives. It’s part of my culture, and I come from a background where that is accepted,” Nwoko stated.
The video’s re-emergence has stirred renewed public debate, especially as the couple’s six-year marriage now faces one of its most challenging moments since it first made headlines in 2019, when Regina, then 19, married the 59-year-old lawmaker as his sixth wife.
While reactions continue to flood social media, the clip has reignited conversations about love, tradition, and the complexities of polygamy in modern relationships
