Afrobeats superstar Tiwatope Omolara Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, has revealed that she once endured a “disrespectful” relationship with a fellow Nigerian celebrity who insisted on keeping their romance hidden.
Speaking on Joe Budden’s podcast, Savage explained that while she agreed to keep the relationship private, the secrecy became humiliating when her partner openly flirted with other women in her presence.
“I am a public figure and he is as well. He said he didn’t want us to go public, and I said that was fine,” she recounted. “But when we went out, he would say, ‘I might be talking to other people, but I’m just doing it so people don’t suspect.’”
The singer described how the celebrity would often engage with other women at events, laughing, touching, and interacting with them before reassuring her it was all for show.

“It was happening right in front of me and I couldn’t say anything. That’s disrespect,” Savage said.
Although she did not disclose the identity of the celebrity, speculation has swirled on social media, with many fans suggesting that she was referring to Wizkid, with whom she has been romantically linked in the past.
Neither Tiwa Savage nor Wizkid has commented further on the matter.
