Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese married his longtime partner, Jodie Haydon, on Saturday in what has become a historic moment, the Anthony Albanese wedding ceremony is the first time a sitting Australian leader has tied the knot while in office.
The intimate celebration took place in the garden of The Lodge, the prime minister’s official residence in Canberra.
Albanese, 62, shared the news with a one-word post “Married” accompanied by a short video of him in a bow tie holding hands with his smiling bride as confetti fell around them.
In a joint statement, the couple said they were “absolutely delighted to share our love and commitmenT in front of our family and closest friends,” offering a warm glimpse into the emotional tone of the Anthony Albanese wedding ceremony.

The marriage came more than a year after Albanese proposed on Valentine’s Day in 2024. The pair wrote their own vows, and the ceremony was officiated by a celebrant.
Adding a personal touch, the prime minister’s cavoodle, Toto, served as the ring bearer.
Guests enjoyed drinks from a Sydney brewery, and the couple walked down the aisle to Stevie Wonder’s classic, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I’m Yours).”
The newlyweds will embark on a five-day local honeymoon starting Monday. Albanese, who divorced in 2019 and shares an adult son with his former spouse, met Haydon over five years ago at a Melbourne business dinner.
Now in his second three-year term, the Labour Party leader marked another milestone with the joyous Anthony Albanese wedding ceremony.
