Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has said he will make his final bid for the presidency in the 2027 general election.
Atiku made the declaration on Wednesday during an interview on Arise TV, noting that the next election would mark his last attempt at the nation’s top office.
“This (2027) will be my last shot. The stakes are higher, because I believe that would be my last chance,” he said.
The former vice-president has contested the presidency multiple times without success.
He was the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 general election.
