Nigerian content creator Queen Cruise has sparked intense online debate after sharing an emotional video in which she reflected on her life at 41, admitting that her past relationship standards may have contributed to her being single and without children.
In the viral clip posted early Thursday, Cruise said she now regrets the choices she made in her 20s, explaining that she spent much of that period rejecting men she felt did not meet her expectations.
“If anybody had given me this advise I’m sharing with you, I wouldn’t be single at 41,” she said.
Cruise revealed that she was highly selective while younger, describing how her search for a certain lifestyle influenced her decisions.
“At my twenties, I selected men. I selected a lot,” she stated.
According to her, she convinced herself she deserved only the best and refused to compromise.
“I said to myself that I can’t settle for less. I know my worth,” she said.

She admitted that wealth was a major factor in the kind of man she wanted at the time.
“I told myself I need a wealthy man… I need a man that’s going to spoil me, pamper me,” she added.
While she acknowledged meeting good men, Cruise said she overlooked them because her focus was on money.
“It wasn’t like I wasn’t seeing good men, I was. But obviously, I was looking at money. I was after wealth,” she said.
Now older, she said she feels the weight of those choices, expressing disappointment at where she is in life.
“Look at me now, 41 still single and searching,” she said, adding that she expected to have children by now.
“At my age I should be having at least 15 year old kids right now,” she said.
Cruise also claimed many women in similar situations rarely admit such regrets publicly.
“This is a truth a lot of girls out there my age will not tell you because of course they regret it behind closed doors,” she said.
She urged younger women to learn from her experience and make better relationship decisions early.
“If you’re a girl listening to me try to settle down in your late twenties,” she advised, warning that dating becomes harder with age.
“Once you get to thirty, it’s really difficult for a man to come by,” she added.
The video has since attracted thousands of reactions, with some social media users praising her honesty, while others insisted that marriage should not be rushed.
One user, @rareAURA9, commented: “She spent her 20s selecting and her 30s expecting, and now she’s spending her 40s reflecting.”
Another user, @GOZIEVIBE, disagreed with the message, saying: “Marriage isn’t a race better to marry right than marry early and regret later.”
As the clip continues to trend, it has reignited wider conversations online about dating standards, societal pressure, and the long-term impact of prioritising wealth over commitment.
