Wizkid and Asake Joint EP Real Vol. 1 has been released, featuring four tracks and marking a new chapter in their collaboration, amid ongoing debates around Fela’s legacy.

Wizkid and Asake have released a joint EP titled Real Vol. 1, marking a new chapter in their collaboration.

The four-track project features Turbulence, Jogodo, Iskolodo and Alaye. It follows the release of Jogodo, which dropped on January 16 and attracted strong streaming numbers.

The artistes announced the EP on Instagram, sharing a promo video and writing, “Real EP Vol. 1 ti jade bayi.”

Real Vol. 1 adds to their growing list of collaborations, including MMS and Bad Girl.

The release comes in a week when Wizkid and Seun Kuti have been engaged in a public back-and-forth over the legacy of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.

Both acts are also enjoying strong individual runs. Wizkid’s Morayo is currently the most streamed album on Apple Music Nigeria, while Asake’s Why Love leads as the platform’s most streamed song.
