Governor Nyesom Wike has ratified the resolution of the State Assembly which de-recognized Celestine Omehia as a former Governor of Rivers state.
Omehia was sacked by the Supreme Court in 2007, after about five months in office. He will no longer be known and addressed as a former governor of the state.

Channels Television reported that Wike who spoke at the signing ceremony in Government House, Port Harcourt on Friday October 7, urged the public not to politicize the decision of the State Assembly in trying to correct an error.
