VIDEO: ‘She used my medical report’, survivor accuses Blessing CEO over cancer claims

A breast cancer survivor, Deborah Mbara, has accused controversial social media personality Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, of doctoring her medical reports to defraud the public.

Mbara, who is the Creative Director of Zazi Beauty Place in Asaba, revealed in a video posted on Instagram that Blessing CEO obtained her medical report under the guise of seeking guidance and support, only to alter it and solicit donations online.

The Delta State Branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) confirmed that the histology report circulating online, attributed to Blessing CEO, was altered from the original issued to Mbara on May 9, 2025, by Xinus Medical Diagnostics, following a referral from a private hospital in Asaba.

“I thought I was helping someone in need, not knowing that she had another agenda. Only for me to see on social media that the result I gave her was doctored and used to raise funds,” Mbara said.

According to the survivor, she first met Blessing CEO while serving as her makeup artist for a shoot last year. Mbara said she later reached out to offer emotional and spiritual support after Blessing CEO publicly claimed she had stage four cancer.

“I started talking to her, encouraging her, and even brought a doctor online to guide her medically. She asked for my reports to compare, and I trusted her,” Mbara added.

Mbara expressed disappointment at the alleged misuse of her medical records, emphasizing the emotional trauma it caused her following her own cancer battle. She also revealed that Blessing CEO visited Asaba with friends and attempted to meet her family to manage the fallout.

The video has reignited calls from Nigerians online for the social media influencer’s accountability, including an immediate refund of funds raised, as Blessing CEO has since deactivated her Instagram account.
