President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after completing a state visit to the Republic of Türkiye.

The President arrived in Abuja on Saturday night aboard an Airbus A330, which touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 8:55 p.m.

His return was confirmed in a brief statement issued by the Presidency to State House correspondents on Saturday evening.

Tinubu’s visit, which began on Tuesday, featured high-level bilateral engagements with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Both leaders held discussions aimed at deepening cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye in key areas of mutual interest.

During the visit, the two countries signed nine agreements covering defence, energy, security, research and other strategic sectors.

Members of the presidential delegation included the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar; the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi; the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.); and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.
