Former senator and outspoken politician Dino Melaye has sparked fresh reactions online after sharing a video comparing public order abroad with what he described as poor governance in Nigeria.
In the video posted on social media, Melaye was seen driving along a busy but well-organised road. He contrasted the scene with conditions back home and called for reforms in Nigeria.
Reacting to the footage, he wrote: “See country, God help us to build a true nation where our wicked leaders will be in jail and the right people in power. Nigeria must be fixed. YES WE CAN.”
The post quickly drew mixed responses from Nigerians. While some users criticised Melaye for attacking a government he once served under during his time as senator, others defended him, saying he was not part of the corruption that has plagued the system.
Melaye has frequently used his social media platforms to comment on governance and corruption, making him one of the most polarising figures in Nigerian politics.
