A video of popular Nigerian clergyman, David Ibiyeomie, has sparked widespread reactions online after he revealed the amount he gives as offering in church.
In the now-viral clip circulating on social media, the Port Harcourt-based pastor stated that his minimum offering on Sundays is $12,000, while he gives at least $2,000 on weekdays.
“The minimum I give on Sundays is $12,000… and on weekdays, $2,000,” he said during a sermon.
Ibiyeomie went further to stress that his wealth is not dependent on contributions from members, noting that he would remain financially comfortable regardless.

“Even if you don’t give me offerings, I will still be stinkingly rich,” he added.
The cleric also used the message to encourage giving among his congregants, linking generosity to prosperity and warning against stinginess.
