A video of popular Nigerian clergyman, David Ibiyeomie, has sparked widespread reactions online after he revealed the amount he gives as offering in church.

In the now-viral clip circulating on social media, the Port Harcourt-based pastor stated that his minimum offering on Sundays is $12,000, while he gives at least $2,000 on weekdays.

“The minimum I give on Sundays is $12,000… and on weekdays, $2,000,” he said during a sermon.

Ibiyeomie went further to stress that his wealth is not dependent on contributions from members, noting that he would remain financially comfortable regardless.

“Even if you don’t give me offerings, I will still be stinkingly rich,” he added.

The cleric also used the message to encourage giving among his congregants, linking generosity to prosperity and warning against stinginess.

According to him, consistent giving, including tithes and offerings, is a foundational principle for anyone seeking financial growth within the Christian faith.

The video has since generated mixed reactions on social media, with some supporting his teachings on giving, while others questioned the message and its implications on church members.
