After testing positive for Covid-19 earlier this month, US First Lady Jill Biden tested positive for the same substance again in a rebound case.
On Wednesday, August 24, the White House issued a statement informing the public that she had tested positive for an antigen.
“This represents a ‘rebound’ case positivity,” said Kelsey Donohue, deputy communications director for the First Lady. “The First Lady has experienced no reemergence of symptoms and will remain in Delaware where she has initiated isolation procedures.”

The White House Medical Unit, according to Ms. Donohue, has already started tracing contacts.
Dr. Biden, 71, was given a course of Paxlovid after testing positive for Covid-19 earlier this month. She has taken booster shots and has been immunised.
The first lady first got in touch with Covid-19 while she was sequestered in South Carolina. After her test came back negative, she vacationed in Delaware with Vice President Joe Biden.
Following Mr. Biden’s contact with Covid-19, a round of Paxlovid treatment, testing negative, and a rebound case, Dr. Biden also contacted Covid-19.
