Pro-hijab protesters have stormed the University of Ibadan International School, sequel to which the school’s authority hurriedly shut down the premises indefinitely.
The management of the school on Monday shut down the premises to ward off a possible violent clash between pupils and a group of protesting loyalists of the Muslim Parents Forum who advocate the use of hijab by female pupils.

The Chairman, Governing Board of the school, who also doubles as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics) of the University, Prof. Adeyinka Aderinto, told our correspondent that the university woke up to hear that some protest card-bearing youths had laid siege to the gate of ISI.
Some of the inscriptions on their placards include, “Our hijab, our pride, their fear;” “How does my hijab affect you;? “Hijab;” etc.
