Two alleged armed robbers have been detained by the Ogun State-Owned Security Outfit, So-Safe Corps, Agbara Area Command.
The accused are allegedly part of a faceless robbery gang plaguing Ogun State’s Agbara axis.
Within two months, “the miscreants upsetting the calm of Atan and its environs” shall be tracked out and prosecuted, according to a directive from the agency’s State Commander, Commander Soji Ganzallo.
On Saturday, September 3, at around 10:47 p.m., the patrol team of the So-Safe Corps caught two of the robbery suspects.
The suspects were named by the corps spokesman, Moruf Yusuf, as Isaac Bankole, who lives in the Yah Lateef Area neighbourhood of Onibuku, and Agboola Ahmed, who lives in the Orile-Gboko, Lusada neighbourhood of the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.

Yusuf claims that the two were detained as they planned to rob the Sokenu community in Atan.
Yusuf explained: “In preparation for the planned deadly robbery attack, the culprits robbed an Okada rider of his Bajaj motorbike and instructed him at gunpoint that he would be with them throughout their operation for easy movement from one place to the other.”
He said that the robbery syndicate confessed after their arrest, without any form of torture.
He said: “They confessed to the crime and added that their membership of Eiye confraternity gave them the effrontery to strike anytime without the fear of any law enforcement agencies.”
Items recovered from the suspects are: a Bajaj motorbike marked AYE 009 VW; one cut-to-size locally made pistol; two life cartridges; one ATM Card; one small Itel phone; one Tecno Spark 7 and various types of charms.
Yusuf added that the two suspects, their victim and the exhibits found on them have been transferred to the Nigeria police in Atan division for further investigation and likely prosecution.
