Barely a week after fire broke out at Balogun market on Lagos Island and Okobaba plank market at Ebute Metta, another Lagos popular Lagos market, Tejuosho, experienced a fire outbreak, today November 14.
It was learnt that the fire started at 3pm due to a power surge in one of the rooms in the building, located opposite the market.
According to an eyewitness, the fire spread quickly to and engulfed other rooms in the building.

The inferno was said to have destroyed properties worth millions of naira.
Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Lagos State Fire Service and the Federal Fire Service were said to have arrived at the scene a few minutes after the fire became noticeable and their assistance was requested.
Nosa Okunbor, LASEMA Public Affairs Officer, who confirmed the incident, said the fire caused physical cracks on the building, which led to its collapse, adding that two persons who were injured as a result of the incident were taken to the hospital.
