Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage has opened up about her plans to grow her family, revealing that she has taken the step of freezing her eggs.
The 45-year-old mother of one made the disclosure during a candid conversation with American podcaster Joe Budden. She explained that while she is mindful of her age, she still hopes to have more children in the future, especially boys.
“I want more children, boys,” she said. “I have actually done egg freezing. I’m just preparing. Like I said, I am not young. I am thinking about my age and want to get my eggs while they are still very healthy.”
The revelation comes shortly after Savage made headlines for speaking about a past relationship with a Nigerian male celebrity, which she ended after feeling disrespected.

Egg freezing, also known as oocyte cryopreservation, is a medical process where a woman’s eggs are extracted, frozen, and stored for later use, often through IVF. It is commonly chosen for medical or personal reasons by women who wish to delay childbearing.
Savage’s openness has sparked conversations online, with many fans praising her for speaking publicly about fertility choices and encouraging women to take control of their reproductive health.
