Three men arrested in Algeria for trying to enter Spain disguised as sheep

Three men have been arrested in Algeria after allegedly attempting to enter Spain disguised as sheep.

According to reports, the suspects tried to cross the border illegally by hiding inside a truck transporting livestock.

To evade detection, they allegedly dressed in sheep costumes in a bid to blend in with the animals being conveyed across the border.

Their plan, however, was short-lived. During a routine inspection, border officials reportedly observed suspicious movements among the livestock.

Some of the “sheep” were said to be walking upright and displaying noticeable human features.

Alarmed by the unusual behaviour, officers carried out a thorough check and discovered that three of the animals were, in fact, men in disguise.

The suspects were immediately removed from the truck and taken into custody.

They are currently facing charges related to immigration fraud.

Authorities are also said to be considering further investigations, including possible animal cruelty allegations, after claims that the men stepped on and disturbed the livestock while attempting to conceal themselves.
