Teyana Taylor is celebrating her first Grammy nomination, a long-awaited recognition of her work in music.
Her album Escape Room is up for Best R&B Album, earning critical praise since its release. On Instagram, Taylor reflected on the perseverance and faith that carried her through a career spanning more than 20 years.
“Two decades of chapter. Highs, heartbreaks, reinvention, revelation. Every tear, every closed door, and every whispered prayer at 3 a.m. in the studio, it all mattered,” she wrote.

She thanked her family, team, and supporters for standing by her. “You held space for me when I couldn’t hold space for myself,” she said.
Taylor is also generating Oscar buzz for her role as Perfidia Beverly Hills in One Battle After Another. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, she said, “You can see my patience being in this game since I was 15. This moment hits a lot harder than it would’ve if everything had gone my way when I wanted it to.”
