Starbucks is teasing the comeback of its fan-favorite Bearista cup, after the item sold out almost immediately following its November launch.
The coffee chain announced on Instagram Sunday that the limited-edition cup will be available again starting Monday through the Starbucks app. “Your chance is in the Starbucks app. Tomorrow, 12/8,” the post said. It remains unclear whether in-store sales will resume or if further restocks are planned.
Priced at $29.95, the Bearista cup is part of Starbucks’ holiday collection. Shaped like a bear, it features a green hat-shaped lid and a striped straw, alongside other holiday-themed items including mugs, tumblers, ornaments, and gift cards.

Starbucks acknowledged the high demand, saying: “The excitement for our merchandise exceeded even our biggest expectations, and despite shipping more Bearista cups to coffeehouses than almost any other merchandise item this holiday season, the Bearista cup and some other items sold out fast.”
Fans shared their frustration online. One Instagram user wrote: “So disappointed with this limited release and people reselling them online for a ridiculous price. Some of us work, went in before and tried to stand in line to watch them only have 1 or 2 and the employees get them.” A TikTok user added: “We waited outside since 2.00 a.m. for the Starbucks bear cup, but the employees took them all before we could.”
Starbucks also said: “We understand many customers were excited about the Bearista cup and apologize for the disappointment this may have caused. We have more exciting merchandise coming this holiday season.”
On its website, Starbucks promotes the cup as: “From cold brew to an iced matcha latte, your drinks have never looked cuter. The Starbucks Bearista glass cold cup brings instant joy to every sip.”
