The world’s longest-reigning living monarch, Queen Elizabeth II’s marked her 91st birthday.
The queen is Britain’s oldest and longest-reigning monarch, having become queen on February 6, 1952.
The queen celebrated her birthday quietly at home, while Britain referenced her with gun salutes.
It was reported that a troop of the Royal Horse Artillery rode horse-and-gun carriages past Buckingham Palace before staging a 41-gun salute in Hyde Park at noon local time.
Meanwhile, there was also a 62-gun salute at the Tower of London an hour later.
