Pleasure to death: Customs officer found dead in Katsina hotel room after a night with three women

A Customs officer, identified as Assistant Superintendent of Customs (ASC) Lawal Tukur, has been found dead in a hotel room in Katsina, prompting an official investigation into the cause of his death.

The incident reportedly took place on October 15 at Murjani Hotel in Katsina metropolis, according to Zagazola Reports. Tukur had checked into the hotel earlier, but was later discovered unresponsive by hotel staff around 8:30 a.m., who quickly notified security operatives.

Investigators who arrived at the scene reportedly found empty sachets of unidentified substances in a wastebasket inside the room, raising suspicions about what may have led to his sudden death.

Three women were said to have been with the officer at the hotel before the incident occurred. They were identified as Khadija Ali, 34, from Dutsin Amare Quarters in Katsina; Aisha Lawal, 30, from Ingawa Local Government Area; and Hafsat Yusuf, 22, from Brigade Quarters in Kano.

According to sources, Khadija and Aisha had spent the night with the late officer, while Hafsat arrived later and also stayed at the hotel.

The body of the deceased was later moved to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Katsina, where doctors confirmed him dead before transferring the remains to the mortuary for an autopsy.
