Pastor gives bra

Edo: Pastor gives bras to female members who came to church braless

Evangelist Isaac Josiah, lead pastor of Reclaimers Ministry in Benin City, Edo State, has stirred nationwide reactions after a video surfaced of the pastor giving bras, wrappers, pyjamas, and similar clothing items during a church service.

The footage, recorded on September 14 and shared on the church’s official Facebook page, shows Josiah rebuking what he described as “indecent dressing” among female members.

In the viral clip, the pastor gives bra to ushers to hand it to women he considered inappropriately dressed, claiming that revealing outfits distracted men during worship.

“From today, any girl who enters this church and we see her nipple, we will give her a bra and say, ‘We have discovered that you can’t afford one, so the church provides this,’” he declared.

Josiah also urged ushers to provide white cloths to women he believed were not dressed modestly, while men with sagging trousers or exposed underwear were told they would be given belts.

He argued that his decision was about discipline and holiness, insisting that the church would not tolerate members “dressing anyhow.”

“When people come to church, it should be to encounter God, not to be distracted,” he said, warning that those unwilling to comply should “look for another church.”

The preacher further directed ushers to cover breastfeeding mothers whose cleavage was exposed, insisting their bodies were private and should not be displayed in public.
