Founder of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, has announced that all marriage plans involving his adopted autistic children have been suspended permanently.
The cleric shared this in a post on his official Facebook page, stating that the decision is final. He also said that special medical professionals would be engaged to care for the children.
“Future marriage plans for my autism children suspended PERMANENTLY. Special doctors shall be employed for them,” the post read.
The development comes weeks after his actions involving the children drew attention across Nigerian media.
His autistic son, known as Aboy, had earlier got married in a ceremony conducted by the cleric. The marriage followed Chinyere’s public search for a wife for him, which sparked mixed reactions online.

Soon after, the pastor announced plans to find a husband for his autistic daughter. The move attracted stronger criticism, with reports saying over 1,000 men showed interest.
He later suspended the planned marriage for his daughter following the backlash.
With this latest announcement, the cleric has stepped away from arranging marriages for his adopted autistic children and is now focusing on their medical care and welfare.
