It appears we have not heard the last from the break up in the marriage of the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, and his now ex-wife Wuraola Zaynab-Otiti Obanor.
News that all is not well in the marriage of the traditional ruler of Ile-Ife had been in public space for some time but Wuraola in a statement on Wednesday punctured the balloon when she confirmed that her union with the first – class monarch was over.
Following Olori Wuraola’s declaration, the Ooni of Ife has revealed that he would address the public on the matter in due time.
The monarch made this known through the Media Directorate in Ooni’s palace, Moses Olafare, who said that the Ooni would address the matter at the appropriate time.
He said: “In this era of social media, where people have free access to the internet and rely on that to pass across information as constitutionally permitted by laws of the land, people can say anything.
“In spite of all being said left, right and centre on the issue, decorum still requires that we in the House of Oduduwa continue to maintain silence, at least for now. This is because marriage is strictly a private matter that should not be subjected to undue public uproar.”
