Iran’s top national security official, Ali Larijani, has declared that Tehran has no plan to negotiate with the United States, dismissing reports suggesting the country was exploring fresh talks with Washington.
Larijani, who serves as Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, made the clarification in a post on X while responding to media claims that Iran had contacted the United States through intermediaries to restart negotiations.
He criticised U.S. President Donald Trump, accusing him of destabilising the region.

“With his crazy actions, he has changed his own slogan of ‘America First’ into ‘Israel First’ and is willing to send American soldiers to support Israel’s search for power,” Larijani said.
He further stated: “Trump has caused chaos in the region with his ‘false hopes’ and is now concerned about more American soldiers getting hurt.”
The Iranian official insisted that Tehran had no intention of entering into negotiations with Washington at this time, stressing that Iranian forces “did not start the invasion.”
His comments come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and speculation over possible diplomatic backchannels between Tehran and Washington.
