The US space agency NASA has debunked reality star Kim Kardashian’s claim that the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon landing was faked.
In a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kardashian told co-star Sarah Paulson she believed the Moon landing “didn’t happen,” citing videos of astronaut Buzz Aldrin that she said supported her view. It remains unclear which interviews she was referencing.
Responding on X (formerly Twitter), NASA acting administrator Sean Duffy dismissed the suggestion, writing: “Yes, we’ve been to the Moon before… six times!” He also used the opportunity to highlight the agency’s current lunar programme, Artemis, which plans to return astronauts to the Moon in the coming years.

“We won the last space race and we will win this one too,” Duffy added, reaffirming NASA’s commitment to renewed lunar exploration.
The Institute of Physics has consistently noted that “every single argument claiming that NASA faked the Moon landings has been discredited,” as scientific evidence continues to confirm the success of the 1969 mission led by Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.
