THE
National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) has passed a vote of
confidence on the Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Dr Dayo Adeyanju,
for his outstanding performance in the health sector.
This was made known by the representatives of the students during the
2015/2016 matriculation ceremony of 588 students and commissioning of
projects at the School of Health Technology, Akure.
While responding to the statement,
Dr Dayo Adeyanju, expressed his
appreciation for the development, thanking the governor of Ondo State,
Dr Olusegun Mimiko, for giving him the opportunity to contribute to the
health sector, saying that such would spur him to always do his best at
all times.
Dr Adeyanju, who equally expressed joy over the unique performance of
the principal of the school in the last 10 months, assured that
government would continue to provide conducive learning environment for
students.
While saying that government would address all the areas where the
school is facing challenges, Dr Adeyanju, admonished the newly
matriculated students to be serious with their studies.
He further appealed to parents not to leave the training of students
to the hands of the school, stressing the need to monitor them when
necessary.
Earlier in his welcome address, the principal of the school, Dr
Felix Lawoye, informed that the final year students of health
information management, community health extension workers and dental
surgery technical departments had the best overall results in the
National Board examination, recently held throughout the federation.
According to him, it is the attestation and a testimony to the
foresight, relentless and assiduous effort of the management and staff
of the school in order to take education to the next level.
Dr Lawoye expressed appreciation to the government of Ondo State for
giving him support since he assumed the leadership of the institution.
According to him, the school has the least fee in comparison to its contemporaries in the South West.
