Ekiti state government has announced hotlines for residents of the state to “report strange movement of herdsmen” in the state.
The announcement came in the reaction to recent massacre on villages in some parts of the country reportedly perpetrated by herdsmen.
The governor of the state, Ayo Fayose made the announcement on social media via his Twitter handle. The move had had mix reaction from social media community. See some reaction below.

Recall that Ekiti state governor, Mr Ayo Fayose, in August 2016 signed the “Anti Grazing Bill 2016” passed by the state House of Assembly into law.
The law criminalised grazing in some places and certain time limit in the state.
