Residents and traders of Amu market were thrown into panic on Saturday when fire razed the market in the Olorunshogo area of Mushin, Lagos State.
The video of the burning market has been making rounds on social media.
According to an eyewitness, the fire started around 12:27am from a spot in the market and spread to other buildings and shops before LASEMA team came to the market.
The fire affected the plywood boards section of the market.
Lagos State firefighters were on the scene and they were assisted by firefighters from construction giant, Julius Berger and the Federal Fire Service.
This is coming few days after pipelines exploded at Abule Egba, Lagos State.
