Mr Edward Adamu, one of the newly confirmed Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, deputy governors, was born on June 22, 1959 in Kaltungo Local Government Area of Gombe State. He studied quantity survey in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He is a member of several professional bodies, namely the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors; Project Management Institute, USA; International Knowledge Management Institute, USA; International Society for Performance Improvement, USA; and the Association of Project Managers, UK. Employed in June 1992 by the Central Bank of Nigeria Mr. Edward was appointed Director of the Strategy Management Department responsible for the articulation of strategy to deliver the mandate of the bank in 2012.

Between 1992 and 2003, Mr. Adamu served in several offices of the Engineering Services Department of the CBN handling Project Conception, Evaluation, Contract Documentation, Cost Planning & Control, Project Implementation and Closure of several projects of the Bank, including the current CBN Head Office Abuja.
He rose from the position of a Manager to an Assistant Director.
Mr. Edward as a Deputy Director in 2006, he served as CBN’s Head of Business Support Division in charge of portfolio of teams and functions, including Knowledge Management, Records Management, Strategic Alliance and Price Intelligence.
In 2016, Mr. Adamu was appointed Director, Human Resources Department in charge of developing the human capital assets of the bank.

He is a member of several Board and Project Steering Committees of the Bank, including Budget; Staff Matters; Pension Fund Management; Establishment, Enterprise Learning, Assets Disposal and REAL SPARC Project. In 2017, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed him to replace Mr. Barau as the new Deputy Governor.
And now senate has confirmed him the deputy governor of Central Bank of Nigeria.
Mrs. Aishah Ahmad
Aishah Ahmed was born in October 26, 1977. She is an indigene of Niger State, married to Abdallah Ahmad, a retired brigadier-general with two sons.
She holds a Master of Science degree in Finance & Management from the Cranfield School of Management in the United Kingdom.
Mrs. Ahmad, is also an accounting graduate from the University of Abuja, who equally has Master of Business Administration, MBA in finance from the University of Lagos.
A member of the Chartered Financial Analyst, CFA and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, CAIA Associations, Mrs. Ahmad was until her appointment in charge of the Consumer Banking Division at Diamond Bank Plc, covering the consumer banking, privilege banking, retail assets chains.
Appointed in 2017 by President Muhammadu Buhari to replace, Sarah Alade, the former deputy governor in charge of Economic Policy, Mrs. Ahmad was confirmed by the Nigerian Senate on 22 of March, 2018.
