The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has officially announced the 2026 UTME registration dates, unveiling the full schedule for the sale of application documents, registration period, and examination timelines for admission into tertiary institutions across the country.
The announcement of the 2026 UTME registration dates was contained in a statement released by the Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, on the Board’s official platforms on Tuesday night, confirming readiness for the next admission cycle.
According to JAMB, the sale and registration of forms for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination will commence on January 26, 2026, and run until February 28, 2026, while the optional Mock Examination is scheduled for March 28, 2026.
The Board further revealed that the main UTME will take place between April 16 and April 25, 2026, urging candidates to strictly adhere to the outlined procedures and deadlines.
JAMB also reaffirmed its age eligibility rule, stating that candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026, to participate, although provisions exist for exceptional underage applicants under rigorous evaluation.
With the confirmation of the 2026 UTME registration dates, the examination body emphasized its commitment to maintaining credible, technology-driven and transparent admission processes across Nigerian tertiary institutions.
