Nyesom Wike, River state Governor has revealed he will break his silence on the recent happenings in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that led to the emergence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as the presidential candidate of the party and his subsequent snub of Wike to appoint Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa as vice presidential candidate.
On Twitter, Wike wrote; I will speak soon and Nigerians will know the truth of all that has transpired in the PDP in recent times.

After Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, released a statement on Saturday, July 23 in Port Harcourt, Wike’s tweet came hours later that it is important for him to reveal to Nigerians all that has transpired in the PDP since Atiku Abubakar got a ticket.
“On Atiku, I will speak soon, and Nigerians will know the actual truth of all that has transpired in the PDP in recent times,” he was quoted to have said in the statement.
In the party’s presidential primary held in May, Atiku polled 371 votes to emerge as the PDP’s flagbearer ahead of Wike who scored 237 votes to come second in the contest.
Former Senate President Bukola Saraki (70); Akwa Ibom State Governor Udom Emmanuel (38), Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed (38), Former Senate President Pius Anyim (14), Mrs Tari Diana Oliver (One), and Mr Sam Ohuabunwa (1) shared the remainder of the valid votes.
