I speak for the UK more than Prince Harry — Donald Trump

Donald Trump has dismissed Prince Harry’s comments on the war in Ukraine, saying the Duke of Sussex does not speak for the UK.

He made the remarks after Prince Harry visited Kyiv and called on the United States to take stronger leadership in the ongoing conflict.

“I know one thing, Prince Harry is not speaking for the UK, that’s for sure,” Trump said. “I think I am speaking for the UK more than Prince Harry.”

He also added: “Prince Harry? How’s he doing? How’s his wife? Please give her my regards.”

Prince Harry did not mention Trump directly during his speech at the Kyiv Security Forum.

He urged the US to support Ukraine and uphold its international commitments.

“The United States has a singular role in this story,” Harry said. He referred to past assurances made when Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons.

“This is a moment for American leadership,” he added, calling for action “not out of charity, but out of its enduring role in global security and strategic stability.”

Harry’s visit to Ukraine came after a private trip to Australia with Meghan Markle. The trip took place as the war with Russia continues.

Trump also spoke about the upcoming visit of King Charles III and Queen Camilla to the US.

He said of the King: “He’s a friend of mine. We’re really looking forward to it.”

The royal couple will meet Trump during a four-day state visit starting Monday. The trip includes a White House banquet and official events.

The King is also expected to address the US Congress during the visit.
