Husband ends marriage three months over wife’s refusal to join his church

A young couple’s marriage has reportedly ended just three months after their wedding over a disagreement about church attendance.

According to sources close to the family, the problem started shortly after the wedding when the couple could not agree on where to worship. The husband asked his wife to join his church, saying he believed it was important for them to attend the same place of worship as a family.

However, the wife refused. She was said to be committed to her church, where she served as a Children’s Department Coordinator. Sources said she explained that she had built a close relationship with the children in her department and did not want to leave them.

The husband suggested that she could continue serving in the same department in his church and possibly grow in the role. She declined the offer.

As the disagreement continued, the husband reportedly expressed concern about them being under different doctrines, saying it could affect their unity. His wife maintained her position.

What started as a disagreement later created tension in the home. Sources said the wife stopped cooking for her husband and also denied him intimacy. Both of them reportedly reported the matter to their respective pastors.

Family members and church leaders later intervened and held several meetings in an attempt to settle the issue. Her pastor reportedly insisted that she remain in her church, while his pastor stressed the need for unity in marriage and encouraged her to join her husband’s congregation.

Despite the efforts, no agreement was reached. Three months after their wedding, the marriage came to an end.
