
The Executive Chairman, Hon Kunle Sanyaolu Olowoopejo today Monday 20th November, 2017 flagged off the Maternal, Newborn and Child Health Week at the Headquarters in Isheri-Olofin.
This is a quarterly programme that usually lasts for 5days, and it will not be different this time. It has commenced today 20th and will end on Friday Nov. 24th, 2017.
The Maternal, New born and Child Programme is geared towards improving the Health Care of mothers and children and also to protect them from preventable diseases.
The Executive Chairman in his Address noted with concern the current poor indices in Maternal and Child Health in Nigeria, and with strong support and leadership at the State and Local Government levels the MNCH week can efficiently and effectively serve as a platform for the delivery of Health interventions needed to improve the Health of women and children, and accelerate progress towards attaining Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5
He therefore, implored the good people of Egbe-Idimu LCDA community to come out En-masse to enjoy the free services that were made available in all the Primary Health centers (PHC) facilities.
