GWR: Nigerian magician set new record with 50 hours magic show

Nigerian magician Ibitoye Kingfahd, known as FaddotheGreat, has set a new Guinness World Records (GWR) mark after completing a 50-hour magic show.

The record is for the longest magic show by an individual.

FaddotheGreat confirmed the achievement in an Instagram post on Tuesday, where he shared photos of himself holding the Guinness certificate.

“IT’S OFFICIAL! I am honoured to announce that I’ve broken the record for the longest magic show and am now officially a Guinness World Record holder,” he wrote.

He added, “This win isn’t just for me, it’s for the entire nation and the limitless potential we all carry within us.”

The record attempt took place between November 27 and 29, 2025, at the POP Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

He performed nonstop for 50 hours.

The feat broke the previous record of 30 hours and 45 minutes, held by UK magician Richard Smith since 2004.

Reports said FaddotheGreat performed more than 1,200 tricks, including card routines, mentalism, and stage illusions, under strict Guinness rules.

Reacting to the achievement, he said the record was meant to highlight the growth of magic in Africa.

“This record is more than a personal milestone; it is a statement for the Nigerian magic industry,” he said.

FaddotheGreat is a First Class Civil Engineering graduate of Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, and is known for creating some of his own illusion props.
