Momentum seems to be gathering on the planned sit-out protest by a coalition of Concerned Nigerians led by Price Deji Adeyanju over the prolonged medical holiday of President Muhamadu Buhari as prominent Nigerians add credence the protest.
The group, which consistent Ariyo-Dare Abonyi (Convener), Coalition in Defence of Nigerian Democracy and Constitution (CDNDC) and the secretary, John Danfulani, announced earlier in the week the civil outing is scheduled to hold simultaneously in Nigeria and London on August 7.

Adeyanju announced on social media on Friday evening that Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charley Boy or Area – father by many has agreed to be part of the protest on Monday.
The group, in a statement explained that its move is in line with the provisions of Section 40 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which guarantees the right to peaceful assembly, and in exercise of that right, “we have therefore, written a letter to the Police and other relevant security agencies requesting for protection as we exercise our fundamental right as enshrined in the constitution.”
