Gerard Pique, a defender for Barcelona, and Clara Chia Marti, his current girlfriend, have been together for a year and a half. This follows his 11-year breakup from Shakira.
Photos showing the football player, 35, and Clara, 23, visiting a friend’s wedding in the Costa Brava region of Catalonia have been obtained by Spain’s Hola! magazine.
It happens after the Barcelona star revealed that, following an 11-year romance, he and Shakira had split up in June.
In the wedding photos, Gerard is seen holding hands with Clara while looking dashing in a black suit and a white shirt. Clara, a PR student, attended the ceremony wearing a multicoloured striped midi dress.
The couple is claimed to have met after Clara worked at events hosted by Gerard’s production company Kosmos, as it was announced earlier this month.
After the former couple allegedly made a vow to wait a year before going public with Clara, Shakira, who has two sons with Gerard, Milan, 7, and Sasha, 5, is claimed to be upset with the player for doing so.
Spanish media site Socialite released pictures of Gerard kissing his new girlfriend at the Summerfest Cerdanya festival in Catalonia last week.

Gerard and Clara have been seeing each other for months, a source told The Sun. She is a student who also organises activities for him in his office.
Although they have been keeping their connection a secret, everyone in their immediate vicinity is aware of it.
People have helped him keep the affair under wraps, and they deleted Clara’s social media accounts so that no one can locate pictures of her, they continued. His friends assume he is truly extremely serious about being with her based only on that.
‘I am excited, it is apparent that there is a relationship,’ host Laura Roige said in the narration. I’ve witnessed a lot of affection, but Shakira will be severely upset since this is a new side of Gerard Pique. With the singer, I have never witnessed him acting like this.
According to them, Shakira is “extremely unhappy” because she witnessed the father of her children in public with his girlfriend.
They allegedly agreed to refrain from seeing their spouses in public for the first year following the separation.
