Game Of Thrones: Actor Michael Patric dies at 35 after illness

Irish actor Michael Patrick, known for his role in the hit series Game of Thrones, has died at 35 after a long illness.

His death was confirmed by his wife, Naomi Sheehan, who said he had been living with Motor Neuron Disease for the past three years.

In a tribute, Sheehan described her husband as someone who touched many lives.

She said he was known for his warmth, energy and positive spirit, adding that he remained lively and humorous despite his illness.

“Words can’t capture the depth of our heartbreak,” she wrote. “Mick inspired everyone fortunate enough to know him, not only during his illness but throughout his entire life.”

She added that he lived simply and found joy in everyday moments.

“He embraced life with joy, boundless energy, and a contagious sense of humour. He believed the most important things in life are simple: to eat, to drink, and to be loved. So don’t overthink it. Eat, drink, and love,” she added.

Fans and colleagues have begun paying tribute to the late actor, remembering his work on screen and his personality off it.
