Nigeria’s Super Falcons squad for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers against Benin Republic has been announced, featuring a strong mix of experience and emerging talent.
Head coach Justine Madugu listed 21 players led by captain Rasheedat Ajibade, who recently found the net for Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Other key names include Chiamaka Nnadozie, Africa’s reigning Goalkeeper of the Year, alongside Asisat Oshoala, Michelle Alozie, and Ashleigh Plumptre.
The first leg will be played on October 25 at the Stade Kégué in Lomé, Togo, while the return fixture is set for October 28 at the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta, Nigeria. The match also serves as part of Africa’s qualifying route for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
