FULL LIST: AFCON 2025 award winners

Senegal clinched the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title after a tense 1–0 win over hosts Morocco in the final played in Rabat.

The decisive moment came early in extra time when Pape Gueye headed home in the 94th minute, ending a goalless 90 minutes and sending Senegal to their second AFCON crown.

The match was not without controversy. Late in injury time, a VAR-reviewed penalty was awarded to Morocco, triggering protests and a lengthy delay. Brahim Diaz stepped up for the spot kick but saw his “Panenka” attempt saved by Senegal goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, keeping the scoreline unchanged.

Senegal then held firm against Morocco’s late surge to secure the title, leaving the host nation to settle for second place.

After the final whistle, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) released the full list of award winners for the tournament.
